Video and audio content is the fastest-growing area of multilingual communication. Whether it is a corporate training video being rolled out across six European subsidiaries, an e-learning course for a global pharmaceutical company, or a podcast being distributed in multiple markets, the translation needs are specific to the medium.
Subtitling is not the same as written translation. Subtitles have line length limits, reading speed constraints, and time-synchronization requirements. Our subtitlers produce output in standard subtitle formats (SRT, VTT, EBU-STL) ready for integration without further editing. The pacing and character counts are built into the process.
Dubbing scripts require a different approach: the translated text must match lip movement and emotional performance cues in the target language. This is significantly more complex than subtitling and takes longer, but we produce natural-sounding dubbing scripts for corporate and e-learning content.
We also handle audio transcription in the source language before translation, and voiceover recordings can be arranged through our network of voice talent for major European and global languages.
E-learning content often requires SCORM compliance and specific formatting for authoring tools like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate. We have worked with both.
