When you contact us, request a quote, or place an order, we collect: name, email address, phone number, company name, country of residence, and document content submitted for translation. Payment data is collected and processed exclusively by Stripe; we do not receive or store card numbers.
Our web server logs IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance purposes. This data is not linked to personally identifiable information and is retained for 30 days.
We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for order processing; legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for security logging; and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for cookies and marketing where applicable.
Documents submitted for translation are treated as strictly confidential. They are shared only with the translator(s) assigned to your project, all of whom have signed non-disclosure agreements. We do not use your content to train AI systems or share it with third parties beyond your project team.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data. You may also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@ictranslating.com with the subject "GDPR Request." We respond within 30 days.
If a project requires a translator outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate transfer safeguards are in place (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decision).
If you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Newcomerstown Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BlnBDI).
